Dr Surabhi Madan is one of the few certified doctors in India who are qualified in the field of Infectious diseases. She has been trained in Infectious diseases at thePD Hinduja National Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai; a highly renowned and prestigious medical institute of the country. Presently she is pursuing her career as an Infectious Diseases consultant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Dr Surabhi Madan passed her MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Government Medical College Surat, Gujarat. She stood as the first ranker and a gold medalist in the university.
She passed her fellowship course in Infectious diseases at Hinduja hospital with distinction. During her tenure at the institute, she had a lucid exposure to the management of various infections.
Apart from the treatment of general, community acquired infections; she has vast experience in the management of patients with fever of unknown origin, serious and critical infections involving brain, heart, kidney and other organs; prosthetic implant/joint infections, infections in cancer and organ transplant patients etc. Her special interest lies in the treatment of HIV disease and challenging cases of drug-resistant Tuberculosis.
She has to her credit the scholastic experience of participating in the international workshop of tropical medicine conducted at the esteemed medical institute and hospital of CMC, Vellore.
She has presented her research work in various national and international conferences, has published papers and editorials in several journals, and has contributed to chapters in books on infectious- diseases.
Dr Surabhi Madan is an active member of various national and international Infectious Diseases Societies. She has been involved in imparting knowledge and creating awareness about HIV and TB amongst the college and school students.
Dr Surabhi Madan continues to make efforts in the direction of creating an environment where infections are diagnosed and treated optimally so that we defeat infections rather than letting them conquering us!
